Wilwood Dual Mount Scalloped Race Rotors

Wilwood Racing in Camarillo, California, has released a new dual-mount option for its popular scalloped race rotor. Now racers have a choice to use Wilwood's Lug-Drive dynamic floating technology or maintain the conventional 8 x 7.00-inch bolt pattern. Testing was performed in both configurations under the high intensity race demands seen in sprint cars, NE dirt and pavement, as well as dirt late models.

The use of Wilwood's proprietary Super Alloy results in favorable friction qualities and resistance to distortion. Scalloped and slotted SA rotors measure 11.75 inches in diameter and 0.81inches wide, and include 32 internal cooling vanes. Weighing five pounds, the scalloped rotor design was engineered to reduce rotating and unsprung weight without reducing brake torque.

Automotive Racing Products in Ventura, California, is expanding its "Tiny Bolt" availabilities. Factory hardware can be upgraded with premium quality polished stainless steel bolts that come in five-packs by size. In addition to large bolts that range from 1/2- to 1/4-inch in diameter, ARP offers #10-32, #10-24, and the new #8-32 sizes.
Manufactured inhouse at ARP's facilities, the new #8-32 bolts feature 12-point heads and are available in 10.125-inch incremental sizes ranging from .375- to 1.500-inch underhead lengths. They can be used throughout a vehicle, including an engine compartment, interior, and elsewhere.

Offered in polished stainless steel or black oxide finished 8749 chromoly, all ARP accessory fasteners are nominally rated at 180,000 psi tensile strength—rating 20% stronger than Grade 8 hardware. An additional benefit is that the stainless steel bolts are almost impervious to the elements.

Factory K-members and lower control arm mounts can deflect under hard braking and extreme lateral loading, so BMR Suspension in Lakeland, Florida, developed a front subframe four-point chassis brace for S650 Mustangs to increase K-member rigidity and steering stability.

BMR's four-point chassis brace (CB770) is made from heavy-duty DOM steel tubing to reduce K-member deflection. The CB770 reinforces the front lower control arm mounts and supports the K-member to increase the steering feedback and stability under light and heavy driving maneuvers. This 100% bolt-on design allows for easy installation with hand tools. 

This component is a quick yet effective upgrade to reduce deflection while minimizing NVH changes, and was designed with drag racing and street performance in mind. BMR's CB770 is available in red or black hammertone powder coating options. 

 

ATI Performance black magic lock-up series

ATI Performance Products in Baltimore, Maryland, has released its new Black Magic Lock-Up Series kit (Part #406015), which includes a 1.250-inch lock-up Vasco input shaft in a lightweight, 4140 HT forward drum with a billet 6061 piston machined for eight clutches. The 29-spline input shaft and forward drum is pre-drilled and tapped for ATI's 30-tooth steel trigger ring to be installed if necessary. ATI's Lock-up Super Pump is offered with brand-new, billet 4140HT, made inhouse, and Calico coated to provide extra strength. The pump has a 4140HT bolt-in stator tube and steel wear plates for each pump half.

Summit Racing, based in Tallmadge, Ohio, has released its new Large Valve Spring Compressor, which features an offset two-jaw design, and allows for a quick setup to evenly compress the valve springs while maintaining a firm and secure hold. The jaws can adjust between a range of 1.375 to 5.875 inches with a throat clearance of 5.875 inches, allowing the user to work with valve spring retainers up to 1.32 inches in diameter. 

The Large Valve Spring Compressor can remove and install valve springs and valve stem seals while the cylinder heads are mounted on the engine block. The Large Valve Spring Compressor is made with a combination of zinc and black oxide finishes, creating a durable and rust-free tool.

Total Seal in Phoenix, Arizona, offers its new TFX Thin Piston Ring line. The features and benefits of the TFX Thin Ring Set stem from the process of how the rings are made, centrifugally cast and heat-treated for optimal uniform grain structure of any martensitic ductile iron ring. These are ideal for extreme abuse such as turbocharged, supercharged, nitrous oxide, and high-cylinder- pressure applications. The TFX Thin Ring Set is made from 440B stainless steel with a C56 face coating for the top ring, with the second ring made from 9000 series steel, and Napier profile. 

The tighter tolerances and PVD coatings make TFX Thin Rings durable to extreme abuse under the intense pressures of various forms of forced induction. TFX Thin Ring Sets will provide standard tension on the oil rings and will be available in two configurations—1.2 mm x .150r, 1.2 mm x .150r, 3.0 mm x .145r and 1.0 mm x .134r, 1.0 mm x .130r, 2.0 mm .130r—with bore sizes ranging from 3.770–4.190 inches for eight-cylinder applications only.

 

Eibach anti-roll kit for GR Corolla

The Anti-Roll-Kit Stabilizer Bars for the GR Corolla is Eibach's latest creation to surface from its Corona, California, headquarters. The suspension upgrade is tuned to improve the handling characteristics of the GR Corolla by reducing body roll and increasing stiffness over the stock stabilizer bar. This is achieved by the 29-mm, tubular, two-way adjustable front bar, and the 27-mm, tubular, three-way adjustable rear stabilizer bar. The outcome of this anti-roll-kit provides a balanced, neutral-steering, and precise turning response to the vehicle. 

The high-tensile steel alloy is cold-formed, then tempered and shot-peened for further durability. Eibach's Anti-Roll-Kit Stabilizer Bar comes in a red powder coat, and complete with all mounting hardware necessary.
